His mission was clear – to make quality healthcare accessible to all, while promoting the age-old healing powers of homoeopathy. Under his guidance, the institution has grown into a center of excellence, nurturing skilled professionals who carry forward the legacy of natural, holistic treatment.

Positions of Responsibilities and Major Achievements
Held various portfolios as minister in the BJP Government in the departments of: Renewable energy, health and medical education, PWD, animal husbandry, Bhopal gas rahat, fisheries, OBC and minorities development.
Cabinet Minister – Renewable Energy
All major policies for solar, hydel and wind energy were formulated, revised and benchmarked under my guidance.
Roadmap for solar power generation from zero to 2000 MW was prepared. As on date 354 MW capacity has been installed.
Biggest solar power plant in India (151 MW DC) was installed at Neemach.
Roadmap for wind energy was made to achieve levels from 267 MW to 3000 MW.
73 projects of 2746 MW under wind power were approved.
60 projects of 276 MW were approved for small hydel power in the state.
Several key steps were taken and 276 MoUs were signed in the wind and hydel power space as well with a total amount of INR 20,000 Cr.
Cabinet Minister – Health and medical education
All the temporary and contractual staff from paramedical to teaching departments was regularized and total 5200 new posts were created in one go.
Nursing strength in the 5 medical colleges in the state was increased by 6 times from 500 to 3000.
CT and MRI machines were installed under PPP model in medical college Indore and Jabalpur.
Swavlamban yojna was started to support the education of 500 nursing students which has improved the availability of nurses in the state and no. of nursing colleges raised from 60 to 300.
the Govt. Medical College was planned & foundation stone was laid at Sagar after a gap of 46 yrs.
Deen dyal chalet aushdhalaya (mobile hospitals) scheme was stared during the tenure.
New and improved drug policy was introduced
Cabinet Minister – Veterinary and animal husbandry
The foundation stone of Gau-abhyaran (cow sanctuary) for 10,000 cows was laid down by Parampujya Sanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat ji .
Veterinary university was founded.
Five veterinary diploma colleges and a fisheries college was started was started.
Mobile veterinary hospital services were launched.
X ray and sonography machines were setup in the veterinary hospitals.
New posts and positions were created giving promotions to thousands of field staff.
